Spider-Man Trailer: Into the Spider-Verse breaks audience records

Fans have been clamoring for a sequel to Spider-Man:
Into the Spider-Verse for far too long. The creative 2018 film not only altered the genre of superheroes but also changed how everyone in the field viewed animation. A sequel to the Academy Award-winning Spider-Verse is finally in the works, almost five years after the film’s initial release. Spider-Man: Across the Universe will be released in just a few months and the numbers behind the recently published trailer show just how excited people are to see the sequel.
According to Deadline, the new Spider-Man:
Across the Spider-Verse trailer has broken numerous records since its release. The trailer got the most views in the Spider-Verse franchise, the most views of any superhero movie trailer this summer, and the most views of any recent Marvel movie’s second trailer in its first 24 hours.
The new Spider-Man:
Across the Spider-Verse trailer has been viewed 148.6 million times in a 24-hour period. That’s enough to outperform both The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (116.9 million) and The Flash (116.9 million). (81.6 million).
A Spider-Verse Short Film is in the Works
Added to a second Spider-Verse film, a short film is in the works, which was made possible by Sony’s LENS program. (Leading and Empowering New Storytellers). The Spider Within is the title of the new short film.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be out in theaters on June 2nd.
