Mumbai: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has arrived in Mumbai to promote her new movie Shaakuntalam.

Samantha told South films have already been shrinking over time “There is no longer a divide between North and South films. I do not even want to get into a debate about that now. It makes me very happy as an actor to be able to work in films in multiple languages. Nowadays, viewers watch films in a variety of languages.”

When asked about the film, Samantha stated, “It’s about love. And love is a universe unto itself. Our cultural background is extensive. And the plot of this film is based on one of our most beloved classics. Aside from the story, the film features high-quality visuals and special effects.”

Samantha has indeed been cast in the exact opposite role of Dev Mohan. She articulated her emotions by stating, “I’m both excited and nervous. The budget for the film is quite large. However, I presume the audience will enjoy the movie.”Samantha recent times seen in the sci-fi thriller film Yashoda, which received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.

She will next be seen in the upcoming romantic film Khus. Co-starring Vijay Deverakonda, and the action thriller web series Citadel, co-starring Varun Dhawan.

Shaakuntalam is inspire by the well-known Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa. Shakuntala was the wife of King Dushyant and the mother of Ruler Bharata.

The mythical romantic drama will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
